Located on a quiet, downtown street just a quick five minute walk to the historic Taos Plaza, Casita Juliet has it all for the single traveler or couple. This sweet little vacation rental home (Casita means small house) is a one bedroom with a well equipped kitchen and separate eating area. The large living room is furnished with a couch which can sleep one additional guest or child comfortably and lovely vintage furnishings. Casita Juliet is decorated in my eclectic style with antiques, local art and plenty of whimsy.
The house is very Southwestern with Mexican tile details and a saltillo tile floor. There are top of the line sheets, cotton blankets, a down comforter and pretty quilt, as well as nice, big turquoise towels for your comfort, and plenty of surprising and fun stuff to check out.
The sunny bedroon is furnished with a queen bed and unique headboard. There are good reading lamps and turquoise robes for two!
The kitchen, while small, has lots of counter space and is well equipped for two. Included are cookware, baking dishes, a pasta pot, a small roaster, a coffee maker, toaster and more. The pantry is stocked with all the staples I could think of. Need curry powder, tabasco, or cinnamon? It's here! And there are even snacks for first night late arrivals.
Enjoy a variety of fiction and non-fiction books, a 32" flat screen TV with DVD player and a selection of movies. For fun, there is a record player and lots of albums. The home is also equipped with internet access.
There is a stacking washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. And you can leave your hair dryer home!
Taos is at situated at an elevation of 7,000 feet. There is no air conditioning, because you won't need it! There are screens on all windows, as well as a screen door ... and I guarantee you will want that down comforter even in July!
Casita Juliet is the newest of my five Taos rentals and is quickly proving to be as popular as the rest. Folks just seem to love my 'Melissiana' style.
This lovely Taos vacation rental home is equipped with all new appliances, dishes and kitchenware, towels and bedding. With its two outdoor living areas and of course a ridiculous number of plants, (A trademark of Casas de Melissa vacation rentals) this vacation rental home is charmingly intimate yet roomy.
The yard at Casita Juliet is fenced, and pet friendly. Your well behaved pet is welcome to enjoy your vacation with you for a small fee. There are two outdoor patios with portal (porch) roofs - one flagstone and one saltillo tile. You can enjoy several outdoor spots just perfect for your morning coffee. Or cook on the weber grill and enjoy outdoor dining - even in the rain, surrounded by flowers in season. There are gardens and potted plants everywhere, as I was a professional landscaper in a previous life.
Casita Juliet and Casa Madre are on the same property, and can be rented together as a compound for larger groups, or separately. While convenient to each other for large parties, they both have a feeling of privacy with separate off street parking, garden and outdoor living spaces.
At Casita Juliet you have privacy and quiet, yet are in the middle of it all. Taos has something for everyone. In this small town of less than 6,000 residents, we are proud to offer great restaurants, galleries, museums, shopping, and entertainment. Surrounded by the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains, there is also a myriad of recreational activities year round, and of course the Taos Pueblo; the longest occupied settlement in North America.
